Sanford “Sandy” Skaggs Chair Recently retired as a partner in a national law firm, Sandy has extensive legal experience in land use issues. He has lectured for the Building Industry Association, Urban Land Institute, and other planning organizations. Sandy served as Mayor of Walnut Creek, CA in the mid-70's. Currently a Director for the John Muir/Mt. Diablo Health System, he volunteers extensively for numerous civic concerns. Sandy is a member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, and has been an ESC Director since 2005 and is past Chair of ESC's Finance Committee. |

William “Bill” Peters Vice Chair As an attorney with Gordon Rees, Bill is head of the Construction Practice Group. He specializes in construction and complex tort litigation, representing developers, owners, and design professionals. Bill is a member of Transfiguration Episcopal Church in San Mateo. He was elected to the ESC Board in 2006 and is past Chair of the Planning Committee. |

Gordon Case Director Chair, ESC Foundation Gordon is a long time Episcopalian, and a member as well as active leader of St. Andrew’s in Saratoga. He has 40 years of experience in the management of publicly and privately owned, multi-state, and international companies involved in the manufacturing and distribution of industrial and consumer products. Gordon became an ESC Board member in 2003 and is also past Chair of the ESC Board. |

David Gibson Director A tax and estate-planning attorney in San Francisco, David has also worked as the Public Affairs Director for Crown Zellerbach and as a Senior Trial Attorney for the IRS in San Francisco. He served as founding President and Director of Senior Resources (now an ESC organization affiliate) and a Director of the Episcopal Diocese of California. He also served as a Trustee of the Parnassus Fund, a socially responsible mutual fund based in San Francisco. David became an ESC Board member in 2005 and is past Chair of ESC Foundation, ESC’s supporting fund-raising organization. |

S. Joseph Aita, M.D. Director Retired from pediatric practice and his position as Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Stanford University Medical Center, Joe has also worked as Senior VP & Chief Clinical Officer at a pharmaceutical distribution firm, and as the Executive VP & Chief Medical Officer at Lifeguard Health Plans. He served as a director on several medical and insurance Boards as well as the Advisory Board of the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University. Joe was elected to the ESC Board of Directors in 2008. |

Charles “Chuck” Chapman Director Chuck has an extensive background in financial systems development consulting and business systems consulting. As a retired Board member of Catholic Healthcare West, he served as Chair on that organization’s Financial Committee, Investment Committee, and Compensation and Benefits Committee. An active member of St. Patrick’s Episcopalian Church in Kenwood, he has served on its vestry and as Treasurer. Chuck was elected to the ESC Board in 2006 and is currently Chair of the Finance Committee. |

The Rev. Linda Campbell Director The Rev. Linda Campbell presently serves as the Priest in Charge at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Salinas. She received her MA in Theology from the Pacific School of Religion, her Certificate in Anglican Studies from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific and her BA in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley. She was the Diocesan Representative to the Sabeel International Conference in Palestine in November 2009 and was the Diocesan Stewardship Consultant from 2006-2010. Linda is the author of Love Reigns, Lenten Family Devotions. She was elected to the ESC Board in 2010. |

Glenn Jones Director Glenn is a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Saratoga. As an expert consultant with an extensive background in financial and general management, he provides advice and counsel to businesses. A CPA, Glenn has held the position of Chief Financial Officer at several public-reporting companies and was General Manager of a computer systems business. He serves as a member of several Boards of Directors. Glenn has been an ESC Director since 2004, and is Chair of ESC’s Investment Committee |

William “Bill” Mason Director A native of the Bay Area, Bill now lives in the Sacramento area. He graduated from UC Berkeley and served as a Medical Service Corps Officer in the United States Air Force. After a 26-year career at Sutter Health, Bill retired as Senior Vice President of Program Development. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, retired as a Lt. Colonel USAFR, and is married with two children and five grandchildren. Bill was elected to ESC's Board in 2007 and Chairs the Planning Committee. |

Baxter Rice Director Currently a consultant on regulatory and legislative issues related to alcoholic beverages, Baxter previously held several government positions related to laws and regulations concerning alcoholic beverages, health and welfare programs, and foreign intelligence. Active in governmental and voluntary organizations, Baxter also worked with a social service agency serving the needs of the elderly Asian population in the San Francisco Bay Area. Baxter was elected to the ESC Board in 2006. |

Sue Roderick Director Sue has a PhD with extensive experience in the aging services field. She has been in the health and long-term care business for over 40 years, retiring as a Vice President with ABHOW. She continues to maintain an active role in Aging Services of California and serves on their Board of Trustees. Sue has been an ESC Board member since 2003, and is currently chair of the ESC Quality First Committee. |

Nancy Duranteau Director Nancy is a strategic organizational development and leadership consultant with over 20 years experience in coaching, consulting, staffing, training, assessments, competency modeling, conflict resolution and management. She is fluent in French. She graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in Economics and attended Columbia University for graduate courses in Organizational Psychology. Nancy was elected to the ESC Board in 2009. |

Helen Sause Director Bishop's Representative Helen retired as Deputy Director of the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency, where she served as Project Director for San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center. She is a member of Christ Church in Alameda, and co-chaired the Bishop Search Committee in 2005-2006. She was ESC’s first voluntary Board Chair and has been a Director since 2004. Helen currently chairs the ESC Board Development Committee as well as the Oak Center Towers and Presidio Gate Apartments Boards. |

Timothy Schultz Director Tim currently serves as the Vice President of Administration at Lundberg Family Farms in Richvale, California where he implemented wellness programs to improve employee morale and health status. He received his BS in Business Administration from Cal Poly, Pomona and his MBA with Finance Emphasis from the Peter Drucker School of Management in Claremont, California. He has served on several Boards, including Group Practice Affiliates, Inc., Samaritan Counseling Center in Sacramento and Organic Rice Partners in Richvale, California. Tim was elected to ESC's Board in 2010. |
Ellen (Ellie) P. Clarkson Director Ellie graduated from Clark University in Worcester, MA and joined the New Jersey Department of Institutions and Agencies as a Social Worker. Ellie served as aSocial Worker with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Welfare. She moved to Pacific Grove, CA where she worked as a Social Worker with the Monterey County Welfare Dept. Ellie and her husband had two children. Ellie was employed by Friends Outside in Salinas, CA and as a Deputy Public Guardian/Conservatorship Investigator with the Public Guardian's Office in Monterey County. Ellie has served as a church Vestry Member, first with St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Salinas and then with St. James Episcopal Church in Monterey. She has been an active volunteer as an Ombudsman, with Meals on Wheels and with the Carmel Bach Festival. Ellie has been an active resident of Canterbury Woods since 2003 and served as the Resident Representative to the ESC Board of Directors from 2008-2010. |
