Community Services

Episcopal Senior Communities served over 4,500 seniors last year with its three community outreach programs.  Our goal for fiscal year 2013 is to increase that number to 7,500.

Senior Produce Markets – provide fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs and cheese at wholesale prices to seniors.  ESC currently operates fourteen markets throughout Northern California and plans to open three new markets this fiscal year.  Over 200 volunteer support our Senior Produce Markets which serve well over 1,000 seniors!

Senior Center Without Walls – uses telephone conference calls to offer free activities, conversation and an assortment of classes and support groups to elders who find it difficult to attend community activities outside their homes because of age, disability, lack of transportation or safety concerns.  There is no fee to participants and teachers and group leaders are volunteers.

Senior Resources – offers senior support services in Alameda, San Francisco, Sonoma, Contra Costa and Monterey counties:

Information & referral services connect seniors to valuable local resources;

ElderWISE is a friendly visitor program to help seniors who live alone fight isolation and depression
