Job Title: Senior Resources / Outreach Services - Santa Rosa
This fulltime position is offered by Episcopal Senior Communities
(ESC), a not-for-profit, non-denominational provider of housing and
services to seniors. This new position will support the following two
roles:
Senior Resources, an information and referral program for
seniors, housed at the Church of Incarnation in Santa Rosa.
Responsibilities include linking seniors to existing services,
supporting and promoting ESC’s Senior Produce Markets and Senior
Center Without Walls; developing new programs to fill unmet senior
needs; and
Outreach Services for Jennings Court, an affordable housing
community sponsored by Episcopal Senior Communities.
Responsibilities include linking residents to existing social
services and providing activities for socialization.
Time will be split roughly 50/50 between the two positions.
Responsibilities include:
work with staff of Jennings Court as well as The Church of
Incarnation to determine seniors’ needs
develop and manage programs
become familiar with public benefit programs; field Information
and Referrals questions from seniors and/or their families
publicize senior services to Jennings Court residents, seniors
in the community, and Episcopal parishes, through written materials
and presentations
Qualifications:
3 or more years experience in community relations or program
coordination
Experience and comfort level working in self-managed,
independent work environment
Ability to work cooperatively with staff, other agencies,
clergy, and seniors in the community
Creative, innovative
Have cultural awareness and desire to work with low-income,
older adults
Excellent written and oral communications skills
This is a full-time position with a salary range of $38,000--$42,000,
depending on experience.
