Gordon Case

Gordon is a long time Episcopalian
and a member and active leader of St. Andrew’s, Saratoga. He has 40
years experience in the management of public and privately owned,
multi-state and international manufacturing companies involved in the
manufacture and distribution of industrial and consumer products. Gordon
became an ESC Board member in 2003. He also serves as Chair of the
Executive Committee. |
David Gibson
Vice Chair 2007-08 |

A tax and estate planning attorney in San Francisco, Mr.
Gibson worked as Public Affairs Director for Crown Zellerbach
and as a Senior Trial Attorney for the IRS in San Francisco. He
served as founding President and Director of Senior Resources
(now an ESC organization affiliate) and a Director of the
Episcopal Diocese of California. He also served as a Trustee of
the Parnassus Fund, a socially responsible mutual fund based in
San Francisco. David became an ESC board member in 2005 and also
serves as Chair of ESC Foundation, the supporting fund raising
organization. |
S. Joseph Aita, M.D.

Retired from pediatric practice and from his position as
Clinical Professor of Pediatrics from Stanford University
Medical Center, Dr. Aita has worked as Senior VP & Chief
Clinical Officer at a pharmaceutical distribution firm, was
Executive VP & Chief Medical Officer at Lifeguard Health Plans.
He has served on several medical and insurance Boards of
Directors as well as the Advisory Board of the Markkula Center
for Applied Ethics, Santa Clara University. Joe was elected to
the ESC Board of Directors in 2008. |
Kermit Boston
Director and Bishop’s Representative |

Kermit serves as a senior partner in BKB Associates, a firm
specializing in professional development in management leadership,
diversity and employee relations and corporate education. He is
also a lay trustee of KQED. Kermit earned his BS in Education from
Cheyney University and his MS in administration from the University
of Pennsylvania. |
Charles Chapman

Mr. Chapman has an extensive background in
financial systems development consulting and business system consulting.
As a retired Board member of Catholic Healthcare West, he served as
Chair on that organization’s Financial Committee, Investment Committee,
and Compensation and Benefits Committee. An active member of St.
Patrick’s Episcopalian Church in Kenwood, Mr. Chapman has recently
served on vestry and as Treasurer. Charles “Chuck” was elected to the
Board in 2006. |
The Rev. Wendy Howe

Wendy is priest in charge at St.
Luke’s Episcopal Church, Hollister. She has ministered at All
Saints’ Episcopal Day School, St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church,
and St. Mary’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, all on the Monterey
Peninsula. She has served on the Commission on Ministry in the
Diocese of El Camino Real and is a mediator for the Victim
Offender Reconciliation Program. Wendy was elected to the Board
of ESC in 2008. |
Glenn Jones

Mr. Jones is a member of St. Andrew’s in
Saratoga. As a consultant he provides advice and counsel to businesses
based on expertise and an extensive background in financial and general
management. Glenn has held the position of Chief Financial Officer for
public-reporting companies and was General Manager of a computer systems
business. Mr. Jones serves as a member of several Boards of Directors
and is also a CPA. He has been a Director since 2004 and serves as the
Chair of ESC’s Investment Committee. |
Jesusa (Jiji) Joson-Fusade
Director |
 |
Born in the Philippines, Jiji is
the Controller/CFO for an Alameda County die casting company. She is a
CPA with a Masters degree in Business Administration from Golden Gate
University. Also an
active community member, she has served on the Boards of the Volunteers
of America and Vallejo Arts Foundation and is the immediate past Board
Chair of Satellite Homes and continues to be active in that
organization. She has been a member of the ESC Board since 2005. |

William (Bill) Mason
Director

 |
A native of California and the Bay Area, he now lives in the
Sacramento area. Bill graduated from UC Berkeley and served as a
medical service Corps Officer in the United States Air Force. Bill
retired from Sutter Health as Senior Vice President, Program
Development after a 26 year career. He is a Fellow of the American
College of Healthcare Executives, retired as a Lt. Colonel USAFR,
married with 2 children and 5 grandchildren. |
William Peters

As an attorney with Gordon Rees, Bill is head
of the Construction Practice Group. He specializes in construction and
complex tort litigation representing developers, owner and design
professionals. He is a member of Transfiguration Episcopal Church in San
Mateo and was elected to the ESC Board in 2006. |
Baxter Rice
Director |
 |
Currently a consultant on regulatory and
legislative issues related to alcoholic beverages, Mr. Rice previously
held several government positions related to laws and regulations
concerning alcoholic beverages, health and welfare programs, and foreign
intelligence. Active in governmental and voluntary organizations, he has
a background working with a social service agency serving the needs of
the elderly Asian population in the San Francisco Bay area. Baxter was
elected to the ESC Board in 2006. |
Sue Roderick
Director |
 |
Sue is a PhD with extensive experience in the
aging services field. She has been in the health and long term care
business for over 40 years, retiring as a Vice President with ABHOW and
continues to be active in the California Association of Homes and
Services for the Aging, recently being elected to the CAHSA Board of
Trustees. Sue has been a Board member since 2003 and serves as chair of
the Planning Committee. |
Helen Sause
Director and former Chair |

Helen recently retired as
Deputy Director of the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency, serving as
Project Director for San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center. She is a member
of Christ Church, Alameda and co-chaired the Bishop Search Committee in
2005-2006. She was ESC’s first voluntary Board Chair and has been a
Director since 2004, she currently chairs the Board Development
Committee as well as the Oak Center Towers and Presidio Gate boards.

Sanford Skaggs

A partner in a national law firm, Mr. Skaggs
has extensive legal experience in issues concerning land use, and
lectures for the Building Industry Association, Urban Land Institute and
other planning organizations. Currently acting as a Director for the
John Muir/Mt. Diablo Health System, he volunteers extensively for civic
concerns. An active member of the community, Sandy is a member of St.
Timothy’s Episcopal Church and has been a Director since 2005. |
Dianne Audrick Smith

Dianne has built a family owned company
in Ohio. Interested in housing for the homeless, she served on the
Steering Committee that developed a "specialized housing program" for
homeless men who would be moved from shelters to a residential center in
one of Cleveland's older working class neighborhoods. A lifelong
Episcopalian and a has served as Senior Warden, member of the Alameda
Deanery, Diocesan Council member as well as on the Oak Center Towers
Board. Dianne has recently been elected National Vice President for the
Union of Black Episcopalians, and recently served on the Search
Committee to provide a slate of nominees for the Episcopate, Diocese of
California. She has been an ESC Board member since 2005. |
