Premier Retirement Communities

Episcopal Senior Communities recognizes that there are multiple solutions for retirement living that provide a satisfying lifestyle, comfort and peace of mind. For that reason, new residents have choices in the contract options including full life care or month-to-month contracts at an Episcopal Senior Community.

Full Life Care at Episcopal Senior Communities
Life Care at Episcopal Senior Communities means that you age in peace and enjoy a gracious and secure way of life with comprehensive services and care, as you may need it throughout your life, regardless of changes in your physical or financial condition. Life Care contracts are available at: San Francisco Towers, St. Paul’s Towers, Spring Lake Village and Canterbury Woods.

Fees do not increase if you need medical specialists, hospitalization, or even long-term convalescent care. Each community has a licensed skilled nursing facility and assisted living accommodations on site. Physicians maintain offices in the building and nursing staff is on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If hospitalization is needed, residents are cared for in a nearby hospital by arrangement with our community. Residents choose their personal physician from our panel, and there is no limit to the number of physician visits.

Full Life Care offers security in an environment with respect and care for each individual. The fee structure includes payment of an initial one-time accommodation fee and an ongoing monthly maintenance fee, each commensurate with the type and size of the apartment or cottage selected. Residents in our Life Care program know that our medical care and services continue regardless of what happens to them financially. Should they be unable to meet their obligations, this care would continue without any change in accommodations or reduction in services.

The monthly fee includes a wide range of services, including healthcare and three full-course meals each day with a selection of entrees, dietitians to plan nutritional meals and address special dietary needs, weekly maid service, linens, utilities, all maintenance services, gardening services, use of recreational facilities, special activities and comprehensive medical and hospital care. Physicians’ and surgeons’ fees are covered as well as the cost of hospitalization, without deductible or time limitations. If a resident does not wish to have three meals a day, alternative meal options are available, and that choice is reflected in the monthly fee.

Answers to common questions about Life Care retirement communities

Month-to-Month Agreements
New residents can take advantage of a month-to-month agreement at Los Gatos Meadows, St. Paul’s Towers and Spring Lake Village. This allows you to join the community and enjoy the lifestyle. Many fine amenities are included in your monthly fee such as three full-course meals a day, weekly housekeeping services, linen service, utilities, maintenance and gardening services, and the use of the recreational facilities and special activities. This does not provide any healthcare, although health services can be purchased on a fee-for-service basis.

Eligibility
Our communities are intended for seniors who live without assistance, meet certain financial qualifications, and are in good health for their age. Residents who choose Full Life Care must have Medicare Parts A and B. ESC is a not-for-profit, nondenominational community.
