About Us

Spring Lake Village has been an active part of Santa Rosa since 1987. In addition to this local history, Spring Lake Village is one of the flagship communities of Episcopal Senior Communities (ESC), a 50-year-old, California nonprofit public benefit corporation that is tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

  • ESC’s primary focus is to own and operate Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs). Currently the organization sponsors six communities located in Pacific Grove, Oakland, Los Gatos, Palo Alto, Santa Rosa, and San Francisco.
  • In keeping with its charitable purpose, the organization also provides no-cost to low-cost services to seniors in need within a seven-county area, including, but not limited to, the counties where ESC has CCRCs. In addition, its Senior Center without Walls program provides telephone reassurance through a conference call program to elders living throughout California.
  • ESC also sponsors and operates six affordable senior housing communities located in San Francisco, Oakland, Santa Rosa and in Palo Alto through its affiliate Lytton Garden Senior Communities.
  • For more information about ESC visit www.jtm-esc.org.

Guiding Principles

HONOR the heritage of the organization: its link to the Episcopal Church and its mission to serve all elderly as a nonprofit provider of services and housing.

RESPECT one another as members of the community, whether resident or staff, striving to be collaborative and to treat one another with dignity.

EMBRACE the unique characteristics of the individual while building and supporting the needs of each community, dedicated to expanding the diversity of those who live and work within the ESC family.

SERVE with integrity, ethically conducting the business and management of the organization so that it meets current needs as well as plans for the future.

GROW community programs and housing prudently in order to serve seniors of a wide range of financial means.

BUILD the resources and financial capacity of ESC and ESC Foundation acting as good stewards, in order to assure the organization’s present and future ability to satisfy its constituents and achieve its mission.

"I moved to Spring Lake Village as a single man. I met the love of my life here and am now happily married. The quality of life here amongst singles and married couples alike is superb. Moving to Spring Lake Village was a great decision for me."
