Affordable Housing Communities
Presidio Gate Apartments
Located at the entrance of the historic Presidio, our one-bedroom apartments and studios include maintenance, housekeeping, library; lounge area on each floor, exercise facilities, and a multipurpose (dining) room.
Oak Center Towers
An eleven-story residence for very low-income seniors (62 and older) with the goal of bringing people together in a caring, comfortable, and invigorating environment with beautiful grounds and opportunities for gardening.
Appealing apartments open onto our spacious central courtyard featuring a beautiful fountain, a resident-planted raised garden, and comfortable seating areas. Van service takes residents to the markets, stores, and on outings; 24-hour security and an emergency call system.
A “multi-level” community supported by greater Palo Alto since 1970; 380 seniors living independently, and 52 residents in assisted-living studios. The Webster House Health Center is adjacent to Lytton Gardens and offers accommodations for residents needing skilled nursing.
Resident Service Coordination
ESC provides Resident Service Coordination for Senior Affordable Housing Communities throughout California. Our Resident Service Coordinators assist seniors with such needs as access to entitlement programs, arranging for transportation services, advocating on behalf of residents, hospital visitation and coordination with discharge planners, providing educational, social and enrichment programs, and much more. To find out more about our Resident Service Coordination program, please contact Katherine Smith, Senior Director of Social Services for Affordable Housing, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In San Francisco, Marin, and Contra Costa Counties, ESC also offers Home Share programs that pair homeowners with extra space and home seekers looking for housing in a difficult market. The program provides:
- Personal interviews and needs assessments.
- Facilitation of potential matches.
- Matching and selection tips.
- Writing of shared housing agreements.
